newbiw needs needs help with wild one wheels

Post by speedster »

Hi to everyone,i'm new here and there's a great wealth of info here,i managed to buy a wild one for Christmas (not new but in good condition),i sourced alot of new parts, gearbox housing, all gears, cupshafts, driveshafts etc,so it's all nearly new except for the wheels and chasis,i managed to shim the gearbox and have now used the buggy several times and it's great, takes me back to the late 80's when i had one and loved it then, that's why i asked my missess to get me one for Christmas just incase they don't reissue it!!.

The only problem i have had is the plastic on the wheels being old and brittle has caused the wheels to break up,i have sourced new old stock front ones, used them and they are great, now the rear wheel has gone and broke!!!.

What i was wondering is what wheels fit straight onto the wild one rear standard spacer (the longer black one),i would love a set of sand blasters tyres on there,do the sand scorcher wheels fit straight on or do i need a different wheel adapter?....or do brat wheels fit on etc,it's a bit of a minefield!!!!

If anyone can help i would be vry grateefull.

Many thanks,Rob. :D

Hornet/Frog/Buggy Champ rear wheels should fit with the A7 adapter shown on page 15 of Wild one manual.
Hope that helps

Does the wild-one use the same wheels as the fox (except for being white)? Rather large offset, 4 point hub?
There're fluo orange ones in 2 of the shops around here. Not sure if they have matching fornt ones...
