It's crushing to see the footage over on this end of the world. Japan is such a beautiful place with such a beautiful culture, seeing the devastation is heart breaking.
I'm sure everyone here will be effected in one way or another from this horrific event. My prayers go out to the people of Japan.

Is Erik still in Japan or did he move back to Belgium? (I think it was Belgium). I hope Tak and company are OK.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

This Friday I plan on donating what I can to something like the red cross' relief effort.
We all know Japan is strong enough to pull through something as bad as this, it's really just a matter of time!

Re: Japan Talk10 Members
Thanks a lot guys!
My wife, my 2 months old daugher, and now in Kyoto.Kyoto is like 700 km from Fukushima and far away from the chaos of Tokyo.
I am,also the non japanese who live here, tired of the lies from the jap goverment. They still think that they can fix the nuclear plant.I guess you saw the TV right? I am surprised about how jap can make Tamiya,Yokomo,Sony, bullet trains but they are so stupid for other things...
I am just trying to convince my wife to leave the country and go to my hometown in Spain. While US,France,UK..an many others and evacuating their citicens,my country Spain doesn`t do anything, the Embassy even pick up the phone when you call them to ask the size they need to renew your passport, and of course now they don`t pick the phone either.
We are worry, very worry guys..
In the north of Japan they lack insuline, medicines,oil...but I suspect they reject help from outside.

I think you should leave there Jose, life is more important than anything, one our our office mates went there to work with her family like 5 months ago, but they left coz they believe that the leak might cause chaos....

Re: Japan Talk10 Members
The devastation and ongoing nuclear development is very worrying.
The survivors in the norh have now to contend with massive snow falls also.
We know it is the policy of many governments to understate major problems to prevent mass panic. I believe that this may be the case in regard to the power plant disaster.
I would be leaving the country if I was there, though I understand it is impossible to even leave the town they are in.
My prayers are with the people of Japan
