kyosho scorpion

Post by knucklebuster »

The scorpion was my first rc. I picked this one up a while back for a pretty penny, around $150 with a badly melted tub and body. I bought it because it came with a truck load of gears, two graupner diffs and some spares.

I took a page from the tomakawk and cut this fiberglass sheet to replace the tub. I will probably use associated battery trays and replace the shocks. I still need to locate some useable tires and found some good ideas on this site. I removed the diff and I am artbs (almost ready to break stuff).

I remember running heavy oil in the tranny case. This tranny actually has a drain plug??? on the bottom of the case. I know my original cox scorpion does not (nor did it have a diff). I believe light grease in the tranny and on the counter gears may be better. Any suggestions?
