Russ' "Not-vintage-but-still-a-Losi" Project

Post by Russ Winn »

Well, I've been in the building mode lately, so I debated selling my Mini-T Pro to finance a new project. After seeing that they were worth next-to-nothing on the ebay market, I've decided to do some experimenting. My objectives were to go with 1/10 scale, and no modification to existing parts, in case I wanted to put it back as a 1/18th truck. So here's my "T-mod" from start to finish (done with a ruler, pencil, and a dremel):
Original Mini-T Pro

This wasn't meant to be a racer, but with a 7cell Nimh and a Losi mini mod motor, it's pretty quick for cruising the street. The handling is pretty good. It's fairly neutral off-power, and a little loose in on-power cornering. Some fine tuning should fix that. The best part: If I get bored with it, I can always put it back as it was.

Thanks...I know it isn't as "professional looking" as most of the rides here, but I had a good time making it. I'm debating on dying all the fiberglass, but I don't really care to deal with the mess (or my wife's complaining).
