Are they worth anything? Put them on the 'bay?

Something that I remember from hyrdadrive fluids:
Light oil was used always in buggy and on slippery tracks in truck.
Medium oil was used on truck on high bite tracks.
Heavy oil was never used.

I have 2 Hydra equipped cars,now!
Oh... and when You fill hydradrive, try to put the oil in with one "push". Less air goes in that way rather than if You "pump" the bottle. While "pushing" oil in, wait until no bubbles comes out anymore from the other hole. This will take some time and hyrdaoil will makes quite a mess around. So fill hyrdadrive on a paper or something like that. Finally when your figers are white, your hyrdarive is full . Filling hyrdadrive is more physical than technical thing.
I didnt want to open up a thread for a quick question. Could I run the LRM tranny with a hydradrive on it without any juice in it? I didnt know if that would create any problems or not. I will probably convert it to a single slipper one of these days...I just want to run it now.

You probably can, but you will need to run it alot tighter than you would if you had fluid in it. In all honestly I wouldn't run it without, get some (original or diff) fluid to put in there first...
AscotConversion wrote:We used to run Losi hydra fluid on 1/12 cars for damper tubes and plates. The Hard stuff is probably about 10K, Med, around 5K, maybe 7, and the light should be about 2K. That is a rough guess based on what we used for an equivalent when they stopped making hydra fluid.
Alright, I'm this close (maybe I can get it finished before the winter haha ) to running my hydra-equipped LRM LXT on my blown up and dusty as heck 8th scale track... and of course I found out the whole thing is all greasy due to the dang hydra that leaked all over the place... which means there isn't much fluid left in there - which means it needs a refill. But with what?
Can anyone who tried confirm the 5K to 10K range is about right (I'll go heavy just to be on the safe side) ? I have these fluids handy at home as I also race 8th scale gas
thanks!

Yeah I know I just picked one for the sake of it, but I'll have to wait for it to cross the pond, so I'm still looking for a local alternative... guess I'll try some 7K on my own and let you guys know

Well I decided too start racing again, but I don't have the money too buy another race truck at the moment. So I dug my old Traxxas Stampede body out and decided too run it. So I looked around my shed for anything that might be Pede related too run...

I hate it when kids get a hold of super powerful trucks. It has never ended well for any party involved.
There isn't enough going on here in the Losi section so I thought a good discussion of the hydradrive would be welcome. While I have owned one, I never drove it. It was on an LXT that I had bought on a whim then later sold when I got buyers remorse....

If I recall, you filled it by removing the white nylon plug screws on the outboard side. Putting fluid in one opening until it ran clear and bubble free through the other. Then you reinstalled the scews/plugs. Could you simply remove one plug and...
After locating a used upper shaft for mounting the hydra unit on a stealth trans, I'm having having a problem after the complete unit is installed and going to put the rpm gear cover on( cover hits the unit). I knew there was a problem as soon as I...

Whoa...first of all what is a Hydra drive and how does it improve your tranny?
It’s like a lock up torque converter from a full size automatic transmission. The interior rotor and the housing have vanes and it’s filled with thick shock fluid. It...
I have a XXX-t that has a bunch of parts that are missing from it but it does have the transmission(see my Losi forum for pics). What do I need to put that tranny into a gold pan rc10/10t without drilling holes in the chassis. If there are no...
This has found its way to me in the past couple of days.... from what i gather it is a Losi Hydradrive on a Team Suzuki shaft. Having researched them a little I have found a handful of examples fitted onto Works '91, '93 and Pavadis cars.

I'm currently tinkering with trying a Losi Hydradrive on my RC10 however I'm not sure if the conversion should use the original stealth slipper backplate or the Losi 3132 one. Annoyingly I have the losi hydra unit, most of the losi slipper unit and...

Hi, thanks. I've used the Losi one with a Thorp shaft. Raced it on a typically retro outdoor uk track (dust/dirt/grass/bumpy) and it worked very well. I was able to get the power down so much smoother and easier than the modern cars around me. Has...
