Feeling like an idiot this morning

So I haven't been around for a while, had to concentrate more on school/work/family. So now that school is over, I can start up my little madness again.

However, I was trying to put up a new avatar, and can't get it to the proper size without it being the size of a gnat. Can someone help me out with this? I want to do this picture:
