tsan's new ride
I just thought I'd post a pic of my new racer. I picked it up a week and a half ago. Mmmm, mid motor!
As much as I love my Kyoshos, this car destroys the RB5 on a carpet offroad track. However, I'm still holding my breath for whatever 2WD buggy Kyosho comes out with next. Until then, I'll be a Losi guy. (I never thought I'd say those words!)- slapshot1979

I firmly believe mid motor is the setup to have. If you are having any issues with rear traction, check out this thread:

It is, as long as you are on a high-bite surface. (carpet, astro turf and possibly clay etc.)fredswain wrote:I firmly believe mid motor is the setup to have. If you are having any issues with rear traction, check out this thread:

Definitely no issues with traction on my end. We all have to run worn out tires to keep from having too much grip. My front tires are old stagger ribs that were past the throw-away point when I used them on my RB5. I'm glad I didn't throw away my worn out rubber!

Re: tsan's new ride
Mid motor works fine on any surface and when setup real well can actually shine on low traction tracks. As long as people tune them like they tune rear motor cars, they'll never figure out mid setups. Quite literally anything works on high bite tracks. The 22 has some inherent but correctable design issues in mid motor mode that make it less than stellar in low traction situations that not all mid motor cars suffer from. That thread addresses the issues. My Cr2 (mid motor XXX) doesn't have any problems. The X Factory X-6 doesn't have any problems in low traction either. The 22 is an awesome rear motor car and can be made to be awesome in mid motor too but it isn't perfect in mid motor as built right out of the box.
