Kawada M300 1/12th

Post by V12 »

Someone knows about the Kawada 1/12th cars?
I know Kawada as a brand name very long but never got into details.
Also all of their 1/12th cars are named M300 ... with the M300 being the first car relesed somewhere around 1986 - 1990 from my knowledge..
The newer cars all are M300 SX ... but that´s all I found.
I found some small pictures at a Japanese website known for Delta cars.
So I did see how the first M300 looks and also the M300 EX but nothing more.
If any possible I would like knowing the timeline for the Kawada cars and maybe someone has manuals?

Using Google I just did find the newer SXW cars but nothing other.

I got an offer for a Kawada M300 but from the pictures this is not a M300 but a M300 EX with some parts missing.

The first M300 coming in 88 at the World in Holland.

I have one M300 gold, but for now she's built off...

Thanks for that scans!
I can´t read the french report but the pictures are also very interesting.

It´s good to hear the release date of the M300 as of 1988.
At the Japanese website http://www.megaegg.ne.jp/~delta-mania/ichiranep.htm I did find pictures from the M300 and M300EX but didn´t find anything on release date.

Do you know if there are spare parts available anywhere for the Kawada?

They're rare, I found mine in France, but nothing more.
I have wheels set eventually, but no more parts.

I found someone now who has old Kawada stuff. It seems he has a built but never run M300 with a lot of other stuff for building any version from this one. It seems it´s a complete lot for 1/12th racing but I have to wait for some pictures. I will see then what´s exactly but think it will be expensive with all that stuff. From what I was told even Kawada bodies are available but actually I didn´t know until now Kawada also made bodies.

Someone has manuals for the M300 cars? I got a lot with diassembled cars and parts what seems M300, M300EX and M300RS versions. At the Kawada website there are just the manuals for the newer versions M300RSW and M300RSX.

I have quite a lot of spare parts for the Kawada, mainly gold anodised parts (new but loose) and black plastic parts (NIP). I have no use for them. PM me if interested.
