Here's my vintage Dynaco SCA-35 Tube amp I'm restoring - it's no McIntosh but it's quite nice
Also, I have a few vintage Technics TT's, this one is a quite rare 1976 sl-23 BD with a Grado Red Prestige needle.

Gotta love Google. Here is a pic and a webpage with my Technics amp:

And my EQ, which was the pride of the setup back in the day:

Technics was actually Panasonic's high end audio line. same as Dewalt is Black & Deckers high end line. i work in a panasonic factory authorized service center and worked on lots of audio units. it was a damn shame when we threw out most of our paper service manuals a few years ago. but since most if it is avaliable from manufactuers web sites or on cd the power that be didnt really see a need to keep it anymore.

I have a few old pieces in the garage setup, a couple of which I just sold. Still have a few NIP 8 tracks. I really like the sound of the Pioneer SX series. Been on the lookout for an SX-1050, but they are selling way too high right now. That is a sweet Marantz 8rad!

Me too  I'm told I'll need to replace a few of the tubes, but otherwise it's in great condition.
I love going to audio classics and drooling over all the McIntosh stuff I can't afford

Funny you should post that, I was just considering going there tomorrow on my day off to take a look around. I lived right down the hill from them for a year(in the apartments by the skating rink), and now live a few miles away, but have never actually been in the store.

My "vintage" will be from the early 90's when the time comes (not now with a 2 and 6 year old running around). In 1994-1996 I worked on and off in a high end audio store with Mark Levinson, Wilson Audio, Spectrel, MIT cables, Rotel, Marantz, Faroudja (spelling?). It was a fun place to work!

I have a Marantz 2230B receiver that I found on Craigslist from the original owner. It also came with the owners manual. The sound is so full and rich compared to modern equipment. I bought it to replace the old boom box radio I'd been using in the garage. I feel a little guilty usiing it in the garage, but I spend a lot of time out there and it really fills the space with great sound.

Having become somewhat irritated by our "Its cheaper to buy a new one than fix the old one." society we live in, I acquired this stereo. A 1973 Marantz 2245.

Does anyone else have any sweet gear to show off?

Nothing to add as far as pics. But going to the drugs store with my mom to test tubes for the radio and tv sucked.
