Tamiya GTI question

Post by RC104ever »

Hey guys, I'm considering a used GTI with the following:

For sale is used Tamiya 1/10 scale VW Golf GTi RC car with all the necesary acc.
This is a TT-01 Type E chassis shaft driven 4WD car.All assambled and ready to run.
Car is in good runung order,no problems what so ever, body is all painted and decals applied, bur has some scuffs and scratches from being used.
It has upgraded batterie pack,
Also has a Reedy challanger 19T racing motor upgrade as well.
Beside this the car is complytly stock, it also has runing led tails and headlights.

CAR WILL COME WITH FOLLOWING

-Tamiya electronic speed controller TEU-101BK
-Tamiya EXPEC SP radio control unit w/esc

Questions:

Can it be upgraded to brushless and lipo power? What needs to be done? Guy claims with upgrades it can hit 60 mph.

Ive always wanted one and for 95 bucks, can't go wrong.

The TT-01 is an entry level chassis. I doubt it would last long with that amount of power from a brushless motor running through it. Your better off buying a better chassis then get a GTI body for it. I've bought plenty of Xray T1 chassis for around $120.

Ok, so that begs the question, what's an X-ray t1?

This particular car had the integrated led headlights and tail lights which I liked a lot.
