I think I have a body for my FOFF. It's a Land Rover body from HPI. I cut out the wheel wells and next I will add some fender flares. The A and B pillars will be cut out and replaced with a roll cage. I'm also going to look at a way of getting the body to sit lower on the frame.

Yeah, that looks sweet. Cant wait to see how the cage turns out. You may run into a lot of trimming around the wheel wells getting it to sit lower.

Ok made a little progress,

Installed the Junfac 2.2 Mudrock Beadlock wheels and RC4WD Intimidator 2.2 Formula Offroad Tires I also installed some Duraleak shocks to get an idea of what size shocks ill need, I think it looks pretty good

Those beadlocks look awesome, I really like the way they look with the RC4WD tires.

mindwarp, if you get a minute, do you mind snapping a photo of the travel of those G-made shocks? I know the specs say 35mm travel on the shaft, but just wanted a visual.

I'm thinking about getting them for the Wraith eventually.

This is a pretty funny but useful video on building G-made shocks. How did you build yours, with oil or w/o? Can you get different spring rates for them?

Thanks for the visual. I've been watching youtube videos of rigs with these shocks and they seem to be quite responsive and handle articulation well. I will be putting them in my shopping cart for sure. Seems like the more and more I collect parts for this build, the more parts I find to add to it. Too bad I didn't like plastic as much as aluminum. I blame owning a RC10 as my first RC

I think by this time next year I should have all of the hopups I want to build my Wraith There are so many parts I want and not enough money...I think everyone here can probably relate to that I probably would have ordered these already along with a few other things, but I had the opportunity to buy a set of 5 spoke Lohas wheels for a RC10 and couldn't turn that down.

Thats pretty cool but it basically has no sprung suspension is the best way I can think of to describe it. Everything is just down travel from the looks of it. Although sprung suspension is not needed in rock crawling because its not like you're going to be going off any jumps.
