Tekin TSC408 esc is it worth fixing?

Post by Jools »

I have a Tekin 'Sport' TSC408 which works only in reverse. How hard is it to troubleshoot something like this? Would it be worth fixing?
(I'm restoring a vintage Scumacher ProCat, ... be nice to have a vintage esc in it).

If you can find someone that can repair it, the cost most likely isn't work it. Here's one on ebay, condition unknown but might be worth the risk or hold out for one that has been tested.

If I remember correctly, the 408 was a forward only ESC. So if it doesn't go forward, then your motor leads are backwards. If it's a modified motor, then the endbell must be turned 180 degrees.
