B2 wants to be resuscitated

It was an Autographics decal set... It was part of the series that were like the link below... Remember they had the fear this, Hammer, Power Puff Patty, and they had a Rat Dude. It was an 80's, early 90's thing.

I know what your thinking and I can't figure it out either... I am thinking it was skateboarding art. Like Powell/Peralta or something.... Skateboarding decals were popular back then... Also you saw a lot of skaters migrate to R/C cars/racing at least out west anyway.

my initial thoughts were in the realm of skateboarding/bmx/freestyle/surfing. i just can't place it. looked though my bmx plus and thrasher mags from the late 80's and can't find it either.

being from an autographics sheet never crossed my mind. i didn't think knew of that image through r/c.

I think it was in the mid 90´s. Try to remember where I saw this rat. Something like on apperal in surfshops, like at Ron Jons.

Looks like the Rattical Tops rat. They made convertible top kits for mini trucks in the 90's.

I made some progress today on my B2. There are still some screws and other parts to change, but she´s gettin there...

Since the body it came with is in that good a shape, does anybody has an idea of getting that paint off, without fu... up that lexan?

Damn! Sorry I missed the rat discussion! Anyone have a date on the release of those decals?

I'll guess 1987 and here's why:

The neon/surfer type graphics hit mainstream pop culture around '86. R/C is usually a bit behind so I'm guessing late '87. 80's POP CULTURE fascinates me so I hope I'm at least close.

On the other hand it could be more of an early 90's motif which is when neons kinda came back around.

What a transformation! That B2 looked almost as bad as my Hawk 2 did. I think some people let their cars go and after a while give up on them.
