Thanks! I hope you'll like the final result in the near futureireg wrote:wow nice work and presentation
Cheers sheriff! Fedex knocked on my door last Friday but I wasn't home. Have to call them tomorrow and get a new delivery date. I need the package from Marwan to continue.sheriff wrote:J0pp3, when can we see more pics?? No pressure
Need to figure out what colors to use on the bodies. I maybe have to blend it myself because the yellow lexan colors I have may be a bit "too yellow".

Re: Turbo Optima Mid + Turbo Optima Mid SE build/restore
Will look forward to seeing that j0pp3.
I was wondering exactly the same thing earlier today about the colour. I have a Mid off eBay, which is more SE than anything else (platinum shocks etc) so will order an SE shell & decals off Marwan. I was wondering about the yellow colour. Perhaps someone here knows of a good paint to match it.

Stunning!!!!!!! Glad to be of helpj0pp3 wrote:Thanks for making me elaborate a new camera setup! I made a test increasing the aperture (misspelled in my picture below) to 16 and the shutter speed to 0.8 seconds. Big difference!jamin wrote:Superb images that really do the cars justice! I've found that increasing the aperture to around F10 gives a bit more DoF and makes more of the car in focus and therefore a little better IMO - not that yours really need it

Sounds great! Did you also get SE rims in good condition?sheriff wrote:Will look forward to seeing that j0pp3.

I have the original box for the SE and it looks like it should have a tiny bit of orange tone, not just plain yellow. I have seen many images where people have painting their SE bodies far too orange so I'll try to avoid that.
Hopefully I will get the Fedex package today. If so, I will at least update this thread with images showing my cars with wheels and tires on
Yeah! Thanks man, I will proceed using the new setting. It will suit far better now when the cars "grows" with tires onjamin wrote:

Yey, mee too!sheriff wrote:Superb, as always j0pp3. Looking forward to seeing them with painted shells on.
Just realized that the Turbo Optima Mid should have black paint on the sides of the wing (according to the box). Glad I found that out now before I started
Turbo Optima Mid SE does not need that. It has decals instead so that the black area get shaped like a "cloud"
Thanks! They look really good in real life too! Soon I have all three SWB models as "Shelf Qeens" and they will not be for sale. Just have to install a security doorMad Racer wrote:One word

Re: Turbo Optima Mid + Turbo Optima Mid SE build/restore
Progress have been a bit slow but today I managed to paint one of the cars and put some decals on it. Color is Fascolor Yellow 60ml with three drops of Fascolor Red. It looks better IRL (more camel yellow style) so I will try to take better pictures later.
I actually feel a bit proud now
