My GT has the standard 4 AA cells and zip ties to the very back of the truck. From fleabay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RECEIVER-BATTERY-BOX-RX-PACK-4-x-AA-RC-NITRO-3-PIN-JR-/200620231018?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&hash=item2eb5e5c96a Make sure the one you get has the correct plug on it.

I do not race mine or even drive it much, but it seems that weight in the back might be critical for weight distribution.

4 aa's would work but since I have all the gear to charge my lipos a rechargeable would be best. Doe anyone know dimensions of what fits on the back of the gt?
