Kyosho Truimph Spur Gear ??????
I'm having trouble in locating a spur gear for my Truimph project.
Are there any other spurs that fit this chassis?
Or is there any after market spurs that will fit ?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
Mark

Mark, some guys have sourced or made a metric to std bushing, and mounted std spurs, but I think you lose the slipper. Diggley's name comes to mind...

Re: Kyosho Truimph Spur Gear ??????
Have You tried looking for a Lazer ZXR spurgear? The spur on my Triumph is the same as on the ZXR´s
Edit: I just checked the spare ones I have, the Lazer (LA2) is 0.6 module and the Triumph (TM7) is 48 pitch. Apart from that they share dimensions and adaption to the slipper.

I believe I got an aftermarket one from liquidrc.com : 64dp. I don't remember the manufacturer but it's probably still bagged. I could look it up if 64dp is fine (no pun intended) for you.

The spur for the triumph is TM-7 100 tooth 48 p and yes the lazer spur also fit LA-2 but they are metric 0.5 or isit 0.6 module
the 100 tooth 48p can be ordered from www.rwracing.co.uk but you need ordinary associated hex pads instead of the red ones.

Thank you guys for all the replies . Much appreciated.
I was thinking of getting in touch with R.W racing. I bought one of his excellent Lazer spurs before & need another one.
Cheers

Mark,
Just recently unpacked my stuff, and thought I saw some NIP Triumph parts.... and yes, found a NIP TM-7 Spur Gear (100T-48P). Also found a TM-16 transmission housing, ('Axle Box' on the pack), if you're interested.

Rw racing do a variety of spurs, i had one made identical to the lazer spur but without the little pole lumps, and also my updated spur for use with a b4 slipper clutch and another for use with the vts clutch.

Thanks Kyosho Fan.
Do you have his e mail address as the old e mail address I had from my last order bounced back.
Need to order another Lazer spur that you got him to make up.
Cheers

Re: Kyosho Truimph Spur Gear ??????
[email protected] is his email and make sure you dont use caps as that may be why it didnt go through. Also as you know ive done a design with ball holes and B4 slipper pad hexes in one but have also done a deeper hex on either side without the ball holes so really down to preference. I did that to save space in what little spare room we have in the gear cover.Mad Racer wrote:Thanks Kyosho Fan.
