Body fitment help JRX-Pro
So I'm trying to find a body to fit my JRX-Pro.
I have a XX body with a JRX-Pro SE rear shock tower on the way. I know this body isn't going to properly clear the chassis.
I'm hoping someone has more experience on what fits this chassis.
I had used an RC10 viper body on a JRX2 build I did and that worked with some trimming, I'm wondering if it will work with the longer chassis of the Pro. I do like the Viper body.
Obviously I can go with a repop, but I'm going to run this and need it to 1. stand up to racing (not sure with TBG bodies) and 2. me not be sad if I bust it up.
I've read on here that some of the tamiya buggies might work. Anyone have a list of bodies that fit?

Re: Body fitment help JRX-Pro
Bearrickster ran XX bodies on his ProSEs. I think it'll fit pretty well once you put the ProSE rear tower on. Lengthwise it'll be good, the only question is whether it will cover the chassis width. I have test fit a XXcr body on my Jrx2, and it's only slightly to narrow to cover the outside chassis edges. If it weren't already trimmed for a XX, and were a little longer I thinkit'd stretch to cover. Ill try and throw a pic up of it when I get a chance.

Re: Body fitment help JRX-Pro
yeah, the XX body is a hair too narrow for the JRX-Pro chassis. I guess the Pro SE chassis was a bit narrower.
I'll probably end up using the XX body for the time being while I look for a good "final" body.
I'm wondering if anyone has one of those RC10 viper bodies who could check clearance on a Pro chassis. I know the Viper works on the X2, just not sure about the Pro.

JrxPro (and e.g. Junior 2) chassis has 5-link mounting options even when they were not used. On JrxProSE chassis those 5-link options were removed and chassis was because of this a bit narrower and maybe as wild as XX chassis is.

Re: Body fitment help JRX-Pro
Here are a few (crappy) pics of my Jrx-Pro with XX body... fine at the front, the rear could be better, but still within acceptable range imho

and a skinny shot (a bit of eye candy never hurts... car still needs a few finishing touches but is more than decent I'd say!)

Hope this helps

Thanks Lonestar. I'll probably run that way for a while until I can figure out the viper body issue.

Supposedly the Viper body should work. I'm going to get one and post a pic.

Wanted to let you know that the Schumacher Top Cat body fits the jrx pro perfectly. All of the angles on the bottom are identical. Since the top cat fits, you can probably also use the various Cougar bodies...since they use the same chassis.

Definately good to know. I love the cougar2 body, but cougars are kind of not so popular here in the states. Okay, they are around, but I sure don't see them on ebay much at least.

Take a look at my "Franken Kitty" project in the Schumacher section. I have pics of the body....and if you look really quickly, you''ll think it was a Jrx pro.

Re: Body fitment help JRX-Pro
A very dry-assembly matching of a C2 shell on my JRXPro shows that it should fit... at least the sides of the body are a nice fitment to the chassis. Shock-tower-wise, it might require a bit further investigation, but sounds like others have done this for us
