Two Lovely Old Pancars!

I just bought these two old Pancars. My guess is an RC10LSS and an RC10L4. Am I right? I think I'm going to keep one to play with and sell the other, but I'm not sure which. I think I'm going to keep the LSS. And idea how much these are worth? I bought them for 72 dollars together. The guy didn't seem to know much about them.
I had an RC10L with a fiberglass chassis and I always loved the graphite so I just couldn't help myself. Now to find a track...

personally I don't get rid of alot anymore so its not an issue about missing something after its gone but I'd get them both up and going and keep them both .

where you from? maybe someone around the board can help you find a track nearby...

The more I think about it the more I want to keep both. My main reasoning was that I'm a college student, but I'm not really hurtin' for money, just broke. But I can at least save them for later.
I'm in Akron, Ohio. The closest On-road place is about 45 minutes away. It's not fair. There is an off road track really close.

aaahhhh...welcome to life . It doesn't get any better the older you get...from experience . Having and offroad track nearby isn't the end of the world either. When you get to running you'll want more and end up with an rc10 to hit the offroad with

Honestly a great video! Once it was going it looked awesome skipping around on the dirt, makes me wonder why there isn't a Rally class!
I guess a tiny bit more appropriately for 10L, what about dirt oval? Slap some 2.2 truck tires on that thing and it should have enough ground clearance. Now to figure out suspension travel..

They have arrived! The condition is actually pretty good, even better than seems in the pictures. However the carbon fiber parts on the ss are pitted and show some wear and tear. I think today I will try my hand at resurfacing them. Other than that, I am very pleased. The plastics washed up nicely and are a lovely light cream, and there is little oxidation.

Here's pictures of some nice clean parts and the bodies that came with the car. As well as some results with resurfacing the carbon fiber.

The L4 Chassis was scratched, but OK, but the SS chassis was very pitted in between graphite weaves. I'm not quite done with those yet, they need a lot more clear and sanding, but the L4 looked very good after some wet sanding and rattle can clear.

As for the bodies, not my cup of tea, but I'll definitely put them to use. Too bad I'm not a GM fan, two of the unpainted bodies are Pontiacs, one Grand Prix, and I think the other is a Fiero maybe. The truck looks to be a ford f-150.

I havn't really touched the electronics yet, but here is what it came with:

Well, this project has taken a bit of a turn...

First off, the nice shiny clear that I used was crap. It looked good at first, but I think my coats were too thick and I didn't let it dry enough between coats and sanding so the surface developed a bunch of tiny crack-like lines. So I sanded it down and now it's a matte finish. I was disappointed at first, but I think it's growing on me. I didn't want to redo it anyway.

Second, It's no longer two cars. They Morphed into one. I'll use it to dip my feet into Oval and World GT. It's a mutt, but it's my mutt and I love it.

I ditched the friction disk (if that is the correct term) and I don't want the two extra shock absorbers. I think I'm going to build a Watts link or something to locate the rear pod and prevent roll.

Anyway, pictures. As you can see it is mostly L4, with some nice hints of SS. I was quite surprised at how well blue and gold go together, and as for the pink, I heard it makes you go faster
