here's the deal, and it really sucks that i have to clarify it because of how this BS went down. i should be sitting here proud of the work my dad and i did and that car, and getting recognized for it on a national (worldwide?) stage. but instead, i'm seriously pissed....... upset in a way.
we (my dad and myself) built that 68 hurst in 2010 in OUR shop. the last few little things were completed on the car in early 2011. the owner of the hurst had this 67 442 restored by thornton's last year:

he decided to sell both cars at the auction this year. thornton took care of detailing and transporting the cars out there. the problem is, the car WE built had thornton's name on it because they were taking care of actually selling it. well, because of that, when it was up on the auction block (and on tv) they got the credit for doing the car.

there was a reason behind there name getting on the car. -------> $$$. they're the "place to go" to get an oldsmobile restored. people know their name. it equals more money.
