Ultimate RC10 Body Thread

Post by LTO_Dave »

I've been wanting to start this thread for a long time, and finally got around to scanning some of the body pics in my old brochures. Mods can make this a sticky if they want.

I've never owned anything other than a Cougar Outlaw and newer Viper and Protech body for an RC10, but I absolutely love all the unique shells that were available years ago.

If you have a name, scan or pic of a body not listed, please post it up. I've listed many for now and will add more when I find them. I know there were several other brands of bodies that need added. No truck conversion bodies please. Only buggy, sprint, modified and oval wedge bodies that fit with the original suspension.

I don't have anything to add, but it's a good idea for a thread. There are a few in there I wasn't aware of. Thanks! 8)

Hrmm I think that Proline Vision body is actually their Class One.

Class One: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=17844&start=75#p179391

Vision: http://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=69103&mode=view

Awesome thread. I really wish I could still get some of those bodies. Back in the day I had a Parma Eagle. It was bad-assed when it came out. I am actually trying to decide what body to put on my RC10 resto-racer, so this thread is a big help. I know that Team Blue Groove repros a bunch of old RC10 bodies. I have been able to find pics of all of them EXCEPT this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-MRP-DIRT-WARRIOR-BODY-RC10-MAD-MAX-AMAZING-DETAIL-LIKE-NO-OTHER-/150989162008?pt=US_Character_Radio_Control_Toys&hash=item2327a7c618

The MRP Dirt Warrior. I don't remember it from back in the day. Does anyone have one or heard of them? I really want to find a pic of one painted up and mounted. There is something inherently awesome about taking a Mad Max buggy to the race track. lol.

There's a B&W pic of one that's painted in my old RCCA Buyer's Guide that I'll scan. I'm not sure what car it's mounted on but it's definitely a cool body.

And Phin, thanks for all those pics! Those Andy's bodies were the ones I couldn't think of. And those McAllister bodies are sweet...I wonder if they can still be produced?

Very bottom of the right most column in the first image is the Dirt Warrior. It's right below another of my favorites (and another early cab forward body) the MRP Toad. Pretty sure those bodies are designed for the Pro-110 though.

One of my favorite of all time, Jammin Jumper, I pulled this from Mr Lexans thread, courtesy of Time Tunnel. If that is not appropriate, please remove as necessary.

Nice. This thread is full of win.

MRP made some awesome bodies back in the day. What is the body just to the left of the Dirt Warrior?

I found another TBG body that they say is vintage, but I haven't seen it before:

I can't remember what it's called but I think someone posted a pic of one awhile back and was looking for an ID. I've been trying, but haven't been able to find the thread.

I did however find a JG body that was never identified: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=25570#p256502

...and a couple of bodies that this thread finally identified as Parma The Advantage: http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=12257#p116967

Pretty sure the TBG body is a repro of the HB Stealth Bomber.
