Kyosho: what car came with:
Any idea what car would have came with four OT-17 shafts? The front wheel shafts are usually just that- front. I have a friend with a blister pack of 4 of them. Could be a mispack, and I know they physically work, but was there ever a kit with four of them? Four wheel steering?

I´d loose that friend if I were You.
The only 4 wheel steered I can think of, are Progress and Gallop I/II
But they use the Scorpion type, both front and rear.
Are they tapered or crosspin fit?
If it´s Spider, the Revoluting Belgian (from the Netherlands
) must know it
What´s the colour on the backing of the blister?
I just saw a listing on ebay Jsourbeck, with the blisterpack of 4 ot 17 - the backing was orange/yellowish

Spider uses OT-17 at the front andOT-18 at the rear.
I've NEVER seen a separately sold four pack of any Kyosho axles. They always come in twos or singles.

I will have him get me a pic. It's not on eBay but ill look at jsourbecks as I'm curious myself
They are standard blackish colored tapered OT17's....I thought of gallop (MKII specifically) but they are not a OT part.
Weird!

Maybe one of the ready set 2wd touring cars (Spider series I think) used them as front axles...?

Re: Kyosho: what car came with:
I just checked my Pajero Nikon 4wd gp, it wasn´t blisterpacked.
Optima´s blister background is blue - the MID´s seems to be yellow

I get what You mean but the ready sets weren´t blister packed. I think the blister packing ended somewhere around the MID´s Not sure that any of the Lazers were packed that way.adam lancia wrote:Maybe one of the ready set 2wd touring cars (Spider series I think) used them as front axles...?

Jsourbeck's blister pack has been opened so someone may just have replaced a pair OT-18 (or something else) with a pair of OT-17.DennisM wrote:I´d loose that friend if I were You.

Re: Kyosho: what car came with:
The Pureten Alphas use a slightly different axle design I think. Furthermore, starting somewhere in the early 1990s Kyosho cars didn't include blister packs anymore; everything is bagged. IIRC the heading cards are all blue/white/red and not like those of retail spare parts.adam lancia wrote:Maybe one of the ready set 2wd touring cars (Spider series I think) used them as front axles...?
Other option: 1990s Kyosho monster truck?

Yes, that´s a possibility - It´s going to be interesting to see, if gomachv gets a picture, if that one is stapled tooj0pp3 wrote:Jsourbeck's blister pack has been opened so someone may just have replaced a pair OT-18 (or something else) with a pair of OT-17.DennisM wrote:I´d loose that friend if I were You.
