Its all about the glory days: Ta01 escort cosworth

Post by rccars4sal »

Once again, stepping into the way back machine. Heres a body set from one of my most enjoyed cars. It was severely beat on, enjoyed. Was built from new kit back when a ta01 only cost about 150 bucks. This was my traveling car,, got packed on several trips and bashed in several different states of the union. Now, inside its got the gear boxes from a display ta01 I had in boxes, ball diffs, universals, frp damper stays, and of course,, the somewhat rare HPI chassis set. Im tempted to dump some $$ on the recently available tires too,, but for now it wears some beater chrome rims and ghetto tires.

I have not built the rw racing ta01 chassis yet, but among the 2 I have built,, Tamiya and HPI,, I like the hpi best too. Pretty sure they had made frp damper stays too, but cant find any. This car will be a runner again, and it will get a lexan tray from some sort of losi parts bin, trimmed to fit. Probably going to get a set of red ta02 front knuckles too so it can use super wide rims and 1/16 buggy tires. Right now the blue front knuckles allow the super wide rims and tires to rub horribly, and thats why it wears 26mm touring treads.
