Using pushbrake offroad

Post by Typicray@rainmans »

I just read an interview on live rc with Ryan Cavalieri. In it, the interviewer asks what a normal guy can do to become great at R/C racing. Cavalieri says the secret is a lot of tracktime and practice using the pushbrake. I only use the pushbrake on really tight corners, have I been costing myself valuable time every lap?
Almost all my posts will be edited because I know what I want to write, but my fingers always hit the wrong keys.

My guess is that by "practice using the push brake" he means just that, so when you do need it, you know how to use it without scrubbing off too much speed or spinning out your RC.

I'm guessing that pushbrake means to actually use the throttle trigger to 'push' the brakes on? I don't think I've ever tried NOT to use the brakes when needed? Seems pretty straight forward.
