A question about an old B&R motor

I got this motor in a JRx-T off the bay. it appears to be an adjustable timing mod motor, but the can is much longer than a standard trinity can. The only thing I see written on it is "air supply" molded along the bearing carrier part of the endbell.
anybody know anything about these motors.
The previous owner scrached the heck out of the can to solder on the capacitors instead of using the convienent solder tabs on the timing screws

I have a couple of Litespeed motors that have the Air Supply endbells, I'll compare the length. My B&R Bullet is Yokomo based.

Didn't B&R use a 550 based motor at one time? Albeit short lived. A 550 can is longer than a 540 can. I've got the one in question in a box somewhere, just too lazy to go dig it out.

If i'm not mistaken SLIGHTLY larger in diameter too.

If they are larger, it is slight. Never noticed a diameter difference between the Traxxas 12Ts and any 540 motor on the market. But I would agree, it appears to be a 550 motor. As far as the air supply thing, they were a band... made some tunes.

ya its not like a profound difference in diamter... about 1/8" at most. Take a good look, those EMaxx motors are deff bigger then your normal motor in both dimentions.

Might be one of their drag motors from back in the day....
