Hey Bully,

Can you tell us what colour the label is on the M Star you have? I can't confirm but I am pretty sure the M Stars were re branded (by Yokomo) Tekin G12's and depending on what colour the label is (Black, Gold, Red), it could be a G12c, G12c III GoldFet or G-9.

Here is a link to the manual covering set-up for the G-12c which also applies to the other 2 listed above -

http://www.teamtekin.com/manuals/P12_G12c.pdf

I will try and find some more information as I have an M Star also and it came with the standard G-12c III manual and a supplement page in Japanese.

That's the black label M-Star. The gold label has, wait for it!!!, a gold label with black text.

They are chokes to cut down on glitching.
I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Here's a crappy scan I just did of the back of my YR-4M2 kit box because I couldn't get it to lay flat on the scanner:

If you want a pic of it, just let me know.

I also noticed that the car on the box has an orange or red receiver with a sticker that has Imported By Yokomo on it like the one shown on the sides of the ESCs. Anyone know if Yokomo used re-branded Tekin receivers?
