T2 build up

Post by Northy »

I bought most parts for a T2 off of the bay, so here's the build up.

Its not new, but it is in very good condition.

Thats as far as I have got with the parts I have.

Thanks to noony i have a gearbox case and motor plate on its way. I've also won some shocks for it.

All I need now is wheels and a shell, anyone got any? Actually, what are the right wheels and shell?

Cheers,

G

The shell has to be specific to the T2. The wheels from a GT or T4 will work. I could be wrong, but I don't think the T2 ever came with 3/16" axles, so make sure you get 1/4" wheels for it. Most GT wheels are 1/4", but some are still 3/16".

I just noticed in your pic the universals, they appear to be 1/4", very nice, I would love to have a set of those for my GT. Did you drill the extra holes in the front shock tower?

I think the T2 was the first to have 3/16 axles, so he should be ok. Also, Towerhobbies still sells the T2 body if you need one.

You are right, I was confusing 1/4" and 3/16". Duhhh..... The ones he has are 3/16". When the T2 came out they switched to the 3/16" on the FTGT, then not long after did-away with the 1/4" all-together.
