How rare are yokomo wheels?
So I been hunting for a set of yokomo deep dish 2.15 rears (part number zc-825) for months now. Are these things really that rare or is it all in my timing?

While I haven't looked for those specifically, I know at least in my searches I don't find things until I quit looking for em. When I was looking for yok wheels I spent a ton on a set, later found the same for 1/3 the cost. Grrrr

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
Do these wheels ever pop up on eBay? Because it.s a solid disc wheel it's hard for me to see the offset just by looking at pictures. Was there a specific model the wheel came on?

My understanding is the deep offset wheels were only for the 870C. Occasionally they show up on eBay.

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
Can you guys get a picture of the wheel in question? I wasnt aware of any 2.1 yokomo wheels, or that there was a difference between 870c specific and later wheels.

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
Been thinking about this,, if these wheels are going to be hard to really hard to find, maybe I need to try something different. I wonder if it's easier to just make custom hubs to fit a more common yokomo wheel?
......or maybe i need to learn a lil patients

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
for 870c some guys have already figured this out to use a pin drive axle(or hex, with adapter). problem is the universals(kyosho) are quite pricey, so you are kinda forced either way to pay a bunch for 2.2" wheels. You might be able to use a yeah racing or some other equivalent for a kyosho that might be cheaper.

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
for the JC wheels, are the pink ones for 870c, or later works? otherwise, the 5 spoke ones still need a special hub to compensate for offset(I think on the rear).

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
yeah, they changed the website again, I bought the 5 spokes and they fit and look great, except they are for the later models with a larger offset. I had to make a set of wider hubs for my car, and made a few sets for someone else quite a while back.
once you get them, put the info back in this thread so we all know!

Yeah let us know how they are. The funny thing is, you know someone has a box of these wheels sitting around or been thrown out during a spring cleaning.
I think my wife has been eyeing my stuff for her own "spring" cleaning

Re: How rare are yokomo wheels?
The deep off-set rears were also intended for, or also used on the RC10.stickboy007 wrote:My understanding is the deep offset wheels were only for the 870C. Occasionally they show up on eBay.
