Build update. I had dyed the fiberglass upper brace black but as many fiberglass parts are, it took the dye poorly and looked more dark purple than black. It matches the rear tower at least 8) I took a step away from this build for a little while. When I came back to it I was going to paint the upper brace black to cover up the poor dye job. I tried a little something else instead, I have some carbon fiber looking vinyl left over from a car project so I decided to give it a shot.

It looked OK but still buckled under the screws despite the washers and a little oil. So while cruising through Ebay I spotted this:

Since my front shock tower was already cut down and I really liked the lipo holders, I pulled the trigger on it. Here's the result so far:

I'm really happy with it so far. I have just about everything I need to finish it up with a few minor exceptions. It should be completed in the next month or so...

Looks good so far.. those came from a board member here.. rccars4sal is the member.. looks like some nice parts especially the lipo trays..looking forward to the build..
