My JRX2 beater
I got this several years ago in a trade, have not yet made a single change to the configuration - works great the way it is. This summer though, I plan to go through and make it a bit more correct...and less stiff in the front end...

Re: My JRX2 beater
That looks great - I love the period racers with era correct upgrades etc..
When I built my JRX2 Racer I wanted to experience the car as near enough how it came out of the box - keeping all the original car's geometry (inc the fabled 5-link rear end) - original length shocks & towers etc. The only upgrades where to improve the strength of the car at known weak points or in the case of the slipper clutch make the car more capable of handling a brushless motor.
I've got to say that in standard trim I really couldn't fault the handling - so safe & predictable & loads of traction when things get slippery! - Its a car that grew in my affections (dare I say I prefer it to my RC10 runner!)

I still run a 5 link. I just use what I know about tuning now. It handles great. I love the 5 link.

Re: My JRX2 beater
Unfortunately, not much. All I've had a chance to do is swap the receiver for a 2.4 that will work with my new radio...converting all my vehicles, so I can run everything from one remote.
Health issues, taking care of 2 VERY rambunctious children, and getting our house ready for siding (being forced upon us by the health department) have taken a big toll on my time this summer...

Understandable. That sounds like an awful lot to deal with.... Here's hoping that your health and current circumstances improve before too long.R Cane wrote:Unfortunately, not much. Re: My JRX2 beater
Thanks, I'm hoping for some improvements also.
My son is starting 1st grade in 2 days, so that will give me a bit more time during the day, at least when my 2 year old daughter is taking her nap.
One day at a time, that's the way it goes...
