What lighting is recommended for displaying cars? I suppose something with the lowest UV rating? Does UV have an effect on fading or yellowing of nylon?
The reason I ask is we're about to get display cases made and I need to make a decision on lighting. Bags of parts that have been stored in boxes are much whiter than stuff stored out in the open (even in poorly lit areas). I wonder if nylon oxidizes over time with oxygen or a specific light spectrum.
I have also noticed nylon in hotter areas tends to yellow faster. IE stored on a high shelf as opposed to being stored on the closet floor.
What lighting is safest?

Re: What lighting is safest?
good topic, im interested in this as well. I think LED lighting would be fine? no UV light to fade decals etc
