Vintage racing in WNY/CNY 7/13/14

Post by vsefiream »

SEE 6/18/14 post

I hope this is not redundant but I am trying to start a vintage class at Makin Traxx in Irondequoit NY. This would loosely be for 1/10 scale, 2wd buggies produced between 1984 and 1994 and rereleases of those cars. I have a few people interested and hopefully with the two RC10 rereleases I may see more people. I'm hoping to get a solid six people. Please contact me if you're interested.

It's indoor carpet off road. Their website is http://makintraxxrc.com. Also see page three of the Vintage racers in CNY thread for photos. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=26170&start=30

I know it may be a bit of a hike for a few of you guys especially this time of year. I am planning this month's meet to be a week from now, 2/9/14. We run what you brung so no limits on motor/batteries etc. I suggest a 2.4ghz controller and 2S lipos but anything is allowed. Track opens at 9am, racing usually begins around 11am.
I ran the idea by Brian the track owner and he is reallly looking forward to it. I hope it catches on around here.

Mostly mini pins. I use proline hole shots. I like those a lot

It would be awesome to get a bunch of guys together for a vintage race Sunday July 13th at Makin Trax in Rush. It is a nice clay outdoor track, obviously this is weather dependant.
My cousin is on leave from the Navy for a few weeks in July and he will be home from Hawaii. I am getting his Graphite stealth RC10 ready, my car ready and my son's car ready. I may have a fourth guy here. I would love to see a 6-8 car field!
Lemme know if anybody is interested!
