Thrift Store found Losi XX Project

I was at a local thrift story a few month's ago and found an almost complete Losi XX rolling chassis for $25. Missing was a body, electronics, spur gear, hydradrive, servo posts, and slipper plates/pads. The shocks included aren't OEM Losi, and do not fit 100%. Especially the front that extend too far and the top of the springs ride above the shock collar. Outside of some scratches, the kit was in good shape.

The car has been sitting on my shelf for months and I finally got to work on it a few weeks ago. Picked up the parts for a dual slipper, 2.8mhz receiver, and a body. I tossed in some old electronics (servo, esc, and motor) to get it running. My to buy list includes proper shocks, wing wire, front bumper, and 2.2 wheels and rubber. I'm debating going with a brushless setup. We'll see.

Current running gear:
-gearing 88 spur with 21 pinion.
-Novak 410-M5 ESC
-HPI SF-50 servo
-Parma Hyper Stock 14-turn 540. <-- Going to change that out soon.



The is my first Losi, and I love how it handle so far.

Those are the most current Traxxas shocks, probably off of a Slash or Rustler.
