Yes, TBG does bodies. You can download the Tomahawk manual from there to see the differences-toyranosaur wrote:Staring to look like, IF Big K for some odd reason does not re-re the Tomahawk, I can do a few pieces that would turn a Scorpion into a 'Hawk? Nice work. If I get another scorpion I'm going to get a TBG tomahawk body for it. I love how the heatsink/cover thing sticks up out the back of the body.
@toyranosaur- any chance of replicating or making a similar piece?
I'm convinced Kyosho is gonna do the Turbo next. They already have the black tub, cage w/lights, and front bumper as option parts.
I'm hoping the rest of those hopups hit the US like the black wheels and Sand Supers in soft compound but what bothers me is in the manual there's a note saying "for Japanese market only"

I figured someone was re-popping bodys. Thanks for the link to the manual Mate! Smoke, yup, that piece is on the list- Most of the bits are really! It's so straigntforward, the pieces will be hard to charge real money for. So I gotta do volume to avoid bankruptcy! They'll be comin' a LOT faster than my usual, 'La-Dee-Da' rate of production. Thanks Mates! Chance to win one & all details in the next day or 2. Worry not, if bods are available and Kyosho does not do the Tomahawk, I'll see what can be done. I hope they do, though! Chris REC

Yeah the "for Japanese market only" is for the pricing in Yen.SMOKE-DOG wrote:Nice work. If I get another scorpion I'm going to get a TBG tomahawk body for it. I love how the heatsink/cover thing sticks up out the back of the body.

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Hmmmm...so if my reason for NOT ordering a Scorpion rerelease (besides having too many cars already...) is that the release of Kyosho hop-ups is rather unconfirmed at this point, and people start making their own hop-ups available, then I guess I should perhaps reconsider NOT ordering a Scorp.

I have all the original parts for Tomahawk conversion, trans heatsink, even front body post that I can loan you. Only part that's impossible to find would be the body clip mount for the rear.toyranosaur wrote:Staring to look like, IF Big K for some odd reason does not re-re the Tomahawk, I can do a few pieces that would turn a Scorpion into a 'Hawk? Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
Here is what I did for my Tommy. Those rear clips are impossible to find, so here is a nice alternative. I used a Team CRP Sand Scorcher clip and modified it with my Dremel. Fits great One thing I did was redrill the mounting holes to match the body. That way (by some miracle) if I ever did find an original clip, the holes in the body would line up.
I will say though, that clip is made of hardened steel and is a PAIN to cut down....but totally possible
Thank you ScootMike for telling me about this

Now THAT is a generous offer that, if this goes forward, I will take you up on Mate! You'll be compensated for your trust- I've done that with rare parts from a couple other chaps here. Nothing beats having the actual part in hand to get the CAD done well and fast, Thank You for that offer indeed! And I'm wanting the roll bar & lights too, ASAP. Chris REC
