Yep. I thought i was plenty polite by giving my take on how the new car isnt the 'same' as the original. Much more polite than i was going to be here if he was a member of this site.

What's the difference? Both cars have the same name, they have to be the same in every other respect too, right?

my opinion is that while they may be close, they are not the same.

yeah, while they are essentially the same car, when initially released it was a total shock to the off road racing class. Now, it's just a re-release for nostalgia.

But really with the threaded shocks, updated slipper, unnecessarily changed trans case, cvd's, and rear toe in that was chosen via a dart board what is it really? I haven't bought one because to me it isn't a throwback so much, it's a mutt. Couple that with the poorly executed case, fitment issues, etc it just isn't for me. I thank associated for bringing it back but it would have been a winner with the right parts on it IMO

whoops, my bad, i was thinking it was the re-re 6 gear he was talking about.

yeah, the worlds re-re.....updated kinda, and definitely not with the same 'feel' as the original. great for replacement parts, for sure.

my whole point was that the originals have the heritage of being around for 20 years. dont say they are the same thing, they are not.
the original was made by an american company, the re-re is made in china by a corporation based in taiwan.

whateves… i literally created this post to troll this guy and it seems hes not a member here.
