I'm pretty sure the layshaft is Nodis. Got two Nodis layshafts, one for Topcat/Cougar and one for the CAT at home, and I'm good as 100% sure on that one. There are only two aluminium drum diffs I know about - the PK Corally and the Nodis. If it is PK Corally it's a version I've not seen, and I really don't think it is PK. So in pairs with the Nodis layshaft I would say Nodis on the diff as well. If you guys have any info on other aluminium drum diffs I would be rather interestedDanf1275 wrote:No idea, although LurkingCAT suggested they may be Nodis.

Re: Procat 'parts bin special'
Undertray painted and on - I'd forgotten how awkward they are to fit, the chassis turns to jelly as you remove all screws from underside.
.... which in turn allows body to be trial fitted. Body is a little on the rough side, but has nostalgic value, so is fine.
Next up is some electrics. I plan to design some battery locators, as all my Lipos are stick packs.

Really like the looks of your Procat. Clean build and a proper old-school-no-fuss paint scheme - love it!

3D printed stick pack saddles now in position, along with Maplin sourced velcro straps.
No mods necessary to chassis pan.

Re: Procat 'parts bin special'
How neat is that battery installation! Love the 3d printed bracket - was this something you designed, or something that was already available?

Design was by me (I use Pro/e for a living). Available from Shapeways.

Would probably fit saddle pack Cat and Bosscat chassis' also.

Very tidy, nice job!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas
