Honouring the Men and Women that Serve

Remembrance Day (A memorial day observed in Commonwealth countries, Veterans Day in the US) November 11th is coming upon us. In honour of the members that have served or are serving. I am doing a draw for a new Tamiya JGSDF 1/10 4wd trail rig. Second place winner will get a set of RC4WD military aluminium bead lock wheels and tires.

To get in the draw, you must have served or are serving in any NATO forces. I will also allow anyone that has served or is serving as a Fireman or volunteer Fireman (I have new found respect for Firemen ).

You only have to post your name and time you served. You may also tell a short story if you like.

On November 11th I will draw 2 names from a hat! I will pm winners for address, I will also pay the shipping!

First winner gets a Tamiya JGSDF LAV # 58326 http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio-control-kits-30/military-off-road-36600/rc-jgsdf-light-armored-vehicle-58326 This car is my personal car that I built with bearings, locked diffs, factory paint, includes servo, tamiya esc and motor. All you need to add is your radio with rx and your battery.

Entered military service in Nov 1995 and still currently serving. I am about to hit the 19 year mark and start my way out the door. Been all over the world and appreciated every minute of it.

I have been in the U.S. Army since 1989 to present and have deployed 3 times and have done many overseas training missions. I was apart of 1st Brigade Combat Team/34th Infantry Division out of the Minnesota National Guard during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 1 Oct 2005 to 26 Jul 2007. It was the longest continuous deployment of any US military unit during Operation Iraqi Freedom. My son was born on 22 Sep 2005. I pretty much missed him growing up for his first two years. I'm currently a MSG/E-8, and my job is the Senior Logistics NCO for the 84th TRC in the MNARNG.

I am really looking forward to my retirement in 2017.

I served feb 86 to april 93 got out due to complications health wise from desert storm but managed to serve two more years after the war.

It's what we do. Easiest job in the world somedays. Other days (more recently) I want to hang it up. What many Americans will never understand is that it's not just US soldiers laying their asses on the line. In both services I've worked side by side with many Nato forces. So it's a team effort and thank my brothers and sisters....American and foreign.

Before you guys get all black ops on me, let me divulge the fact that I was a 92G1P. I was a SOCOM cook! Ha! My recruiter near crapped himself when I came back from MEPS with an Airborne Ranger cook contract. What a hoot that all was.
