That probably is a Maaco paint job. Looks like no prep was done prior to painting plus a single part enamel paint. You get what you pay for.

All kinds of nastiness could be hiding under that thick goop. The car is from New York so I would imagine more rust is hiding elsewhere from all the road salt it was exposed to.

I think the wagner power painter might do a better job than that...almost looks like it was rolled on with a 3/4" nap 9" wide roller :? .

That's what happens when you don't wet-sand out the orange-peel, buff & polish. Gack.

That's way beyond not just wet sanding out the orange peel. It will cost some major bucks to fix that mess. Judging from how the car looks under the hood, you can get a feel for how the rest of the car looked before the "paint job." :shock:

I like this statement: "the paint on the car is a 10 foot job, it looks pretty good" Image
