Very interested in the outdrive/dogbone combo... can you please explain what are these parts and where to source them, please?
Thanks!

Re: trx1 short car
I'm pretty sure the dogbones are oem traxxas...maybe came with a TCP or maybe even TRX3. The outdrives on the trans are made by STRC. I'll try to get you all the part numbers.Lonestar wrote:Very interested in the outdrive/dogbone combo... can you please explain what are these parts and where to source them, please?

Re: trx1 short car
The rear wheels are TRX3 , 2.2 inch. I bought a set of Bandit front wheels that have the same look. Gonna look into aftermarket, bandit style caster block/steering knuckles that have the inboard bearings. If that works I be able to put any current 2.2 front and rear tires on it. the bandit front wheels I bought are either 2.1 or 2.2TRX-1-3 wrote:Lookin' good. Nice paint. Looks aggressive. the dogbones are traxxas. The part #'s are: 4674-single bone, 4670 dogbone kit, drive cup-4673. The drive cups I used are made by STRC....3 sets on eBay right nowLonestar wrote:Very interested in the outdrive/dogbone combo... can you please explain what are these parts and where to source them, please?

Dude!,
Keep us posted on the front axle conversion effort. I have been curious and wanting to give it a try but I am a lazy POS all at the same time. 2.2 fronts can go on 2.15 wheels, but it ends up pretty "Busch league".

A&L (Mr. Daryl Lane) still puts out dogbone kits for the TRX-1 / 3.OSR wrote:the dogbones are traxxas. The part #'s are: 4674-single bone, 4670 dogbone kit, drive cup-4673. Re: trx1 short car
update!
Integy front caster blocks with bandit steering knuckle. The bandit hinge pin that goes through the arm is a smaller diameter than the hole in the arm. Drilled a hole and used a set screw. I have other new old stock arms otherwise I wouldn't have drilled the holes

Looks great!
If it were me, I would have drilled out the hole in the caster block instead. But that's just me. Looks like it worked great either way!

Re: trx1 short car
awesome looks! Agree with drilling the castor block... that small grub screw has a lot of work to do to hold that wobbling pin....
