Re: CRP/Turbo Scorpion Racer
Hi Lars, does anyone make side bars that might fit a Scorpion? For protecting the rear wheels and arms I mean.
thanks

Re: CRP/Turbo Scorpion Racer
Yes, if you mean historically, Kyosho, JG, CRP, Dirt Burners and STAC (my be others) made two point nerf bars and are not so hard to find. The three point nerf bars was made by JG and CRP and are almost impossible to find, it took me 4 years before I found my set.
I haven't seen any repro, but it would be easy to make by your own two point nerf bars. All you need is a 5mm aluminum rod and a pip bender.

This looks awesome.
Found Swedish / Norwegian vintage cup last year and now I need a scorpion I think.
Started getting some parts I want.
Is 17.5t motor and stock gearing ok? Or should I look for some other gearing?

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

Re: CRP/Turbo Scorpion Racer
At the NVC (Nordic Vintage Challenge) you would use a brushed motor in a Scorpion and run it in the 2WD Classic class. But if you want, you can run it with a 17.5 in the 2WD class. Her is a link to the NVC rules http://www.ymr.no/nvc/rules.htmNoBrainer wrote:This looks awesome.

Re: CRP/Turbo Scorpion Racer
I got a brushed ESC and some motors, so that's no problem.
Thanks

Re: CRP/Turbo Scorpion Racer
The front shock towers, is it 2mm aluminum you made new shock towers from?
Do RB6 ball differential work with the Scorpion?
Do you need 2.2" wheels to compete in the 2WD and originals for the Classic 2WD? What wheels are recommended for this ride?

Re: CRP/Turbo Scorpion Racer
I know that the RB5 will fit the 2014 Scorpion, so I guess that the RB6 will fit to. The rear wheels I'm using is E-Revo 2.2" wheels (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jconcepts-Rulux-1-16-E-Revo-Wheel-2-2inch-Black-RC-Car-Truck-Off-Road-3333B-/131287846680?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e915d8f18)
And for front wheels I'm using Durango DEX210 wheels (http://www.ebay.com/itm/De-Racing-Borrego-Wheel-For-Team-Durango-Dex210-Front-Black-BBDFB-/331575231963?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d336c85db)
2mm thick aluminum will do fine for the front shock towers.
And here is a link in Swedish about my Tomahawk (http://rsb.se/arena/showthread.php?80645-Kyosho-Tomahawk-till-US-VONats)

That looks so awesome!
Thanks for the links on wheels. I will check it out.
Now I just need my Beetle.
They did not have a Scorpion or Tomahawk here in Norway, so had to settle for a Beetle.
But I got to get it first before I can see what I need.
I have always raced 1:10 on-road and Kyosho Mini-Z, so this buggy is new to me.

Yes, got my Beetle last night.
Awesome to build.
Now I just miss "all" the pieces you have said and some that I think just looks cool.
