Peroxided white parts starting to yellow again?
Has anybody had issues with their whitened parts re-yellowing? I noticed tonight that my 10T parts are starting to darken in some areas. I did the peroxide treatment back in January, and the color lightened and evened out very nicely. Since then, they've spent almost all of their time in a box, in a closed room with no light or windows. All of the reassembly has been at night, yet tonight I noticed that they are starting to darken and the uneven yellowness is coming back. :/

Happened to basically everything I've ever done.

Unfortunately, peroxiding parts restores them to the original color but not permanently. They gradually turn back to the way they were before you started. I was under the impression that it took a long time for them to turn back yellow again. Just like it took a long time for them to get that way in the first place. So with that assumption, I find it odd that yours are starting to quickly revert. Maybe everyone's are doing the same thing but you're the first person I've read about on here that it's happened to.
From the research I've done, if you spray your newly restored parts with a clear UV protective paint, it will stop them from yellowing again. I've yet to see anyone attempt it on R/C parts though.

Might not be the same situation but since we are sharing the peroxide experience I've had some luck with parts that I cleared but they eventually started yellowing again. The clear was because I left them in a wee bit too long and they became chalky looking. The other parts that chalked up in that same batch that I didn't clear turned yellow again real quick. It was like a couple months later but they sat on the windowsill in direct sunlight for most of their whitening to garbage can lifespan .
Its kinda like that whole beadblasting of the alloy parts. Sure cleans them up nicely but they eventually start to 'oxify' again
