thats how I remove tyres...
Im assuming I need to have it soaked overnight aswell?

depends on bad the glue is. if it's globbed pretty good, you can stick in a ziplock bag with a few capfuls of acetone, close bag with as little air as possible and manipulate the bag around the glued spots until removed. you will likely have to do a final wipe down after you take it out of the bag with some fresh acetone. it should come up like new(other than physical abrasions)
