Bosscat parts
Bosscat parts
I am rebuilding my old Bosscat. I need some diff. pulleys, front and rear. And the layshaft pulley.
Does anybody know where to get these items, either plastic or preferably aluminium? Perhaps something from another schumacher model?

Re: Bosscat parts
Yes but is it possible to fit a diff drum from another model on to my bosscat or to by a knock off?

Re: Bosscat parts
Basically yes you can, the only differance with the rear drums were the 23mm Pro Bosscat diff which was wider than the others as it ran extra bearings inside and alloy outputs.
This is a 23mm Pro rear diff that I've just fitted into my Procat

That has replaced this Trinity one

If yours has a pro rear drumb in and you replace it with another one over rebuilding yours you will need different eccentrics, with the pro diff being wider you have shorter ones over the standed Procat ones.

I think I will be succesfull in rebuilding my pro diff. but my drive shafts are rather worn down. The U1692 set would be ideal, but is not to be found on ebay. Can I use drive shafts from another model?

Re: Bosscat parts
U1692 is Nitro 10 Mk3 driveshafts... they're pretty much the same parts, apart from the diff outputs, which aren't included in the U1692, but are included in the U704 (Bosscat / Nitro 10 Mk1 and 2) and U630 (ProCat 4wd rear).Bosscat wrote:I think I will be succesfull in rebuilding my pro diff. but my drive shafts are rather worn down. Not alloy but for one of my runners I'm using the the diff out put yokes U1631. They're still available from Schumacher.
In combination with:
a pointer in the direction of Traxxas Slash. Wheel hubs and out drives does not fit, but the telescopic axles and the universal joints are direct fits - just cut down the length of the axles as required. Diameter and legth of the pins in the uj's are the same.
Sturdy set of axles for a runner
