Help me style my Ford Torino Talladega....Pics are included!
Looking for some advice on a car. I picked up a Mcallister Fairlane Fastback body that I'm going to use on an on road Ultima. I have a couple of ideas bouncing around for scheme and wheels. What do you guys think?
The stance and feel of Troy Trepanier's Talladega is what I'm going for:
Like this vintage race theme too.
Here are some paint schemes I like....I'm thinking Green with a white treatment like the cougar's blue.
I have a lot of wheel choices to weigh also. The Tamiya wheel pictured last is closest to Troy's wheel. The Stock car wheel is the obvious choice if I did the vintage race style. I think that bronze would look good with the dark green paint, but not sure of the TE37 wheel is going to look weird on vintage muscle.
I would appreciate any input on this as I am really indecisive.

I really like that first picture of the Talladega! I do like the green and white paint scheme as with the white on blue. I think you are going to have a hard time picking from the those choices.
I have the TE37s with custom made drift tires mounted on my Vintage Mustang and look super.
And then these HPI vintage wheels with tires look great as well. Just throwing some ideas out their for you.

These look very similar to what are on the Green Torino.

It might be a challenge to make the Talladega look like a Barracuda...
I like the first Talladega too, and the third & fourth wheel types. The first two look too ricey for my tastes.

How would 1 go about duplicating the finish of the first 3 pics, looks like raw metal? Ive got a bichin camaro body I want to do up pretty soon, and Im pretty sure that finish is whats needed. Bare metal with some hilites, may be some rivets showing through...

I don't have a pic, but there was a guy I used to race with had a car that had a 'typical' race scheme BUT it looked like the paint was being peeled off by speed and the front looked like bare metal.
