Spindle nut

Post by plymouth67 »

Anybody know the thread size for stock front spindle nut that holds the wheel on for a vintage rc10 buggy?

Depends. The steel axles used a 4-40 nut and the aluminum axles used a 5-40. If you can take a shock nut loose and thread it onto the front axle it's a 4-40. The only other 5-40 on the cars would be the diff nut if it's a 6 gear or slipper nut on a stealth. They are gold in color.

Ideally you should use a nylon nut. It will thread into either just fine and is both safe and secure
