2speed conversion for stealth tranny

Post by lmw94002 »

I had picked up a used/abused RC10 awhile back and last night I was looking at it again and realized it had a different top shaft on the tranny. Looking in the random bag that came with it I found some parts that looked like they were from one of those two speed stealth transmission conversions. Anyone remember who produced that? I'm trying to figure out if I have enough parts to try to rebuild it.

Thanks all.

Realistically, what benefit would this have? If it had worked, everyone would be running one.

more for the cool factor vs. a practical racing application... and nowadays for me... more for the rare factor. :)

Ive used them on my RS4 touring car and have gotten mixed results. I think they're great for just piddling around but if you were racing it wouldn't be a good item to have. You have to find a happy medium with the shift point. With the first part of your pack you'll be shifting too soon, mid pack it's perfect and at the end of your battery pack it rarely shifts out of first at all. Never the less I have them on all my RS4 chassis.
