Re: Shodog's Fusion Speed MIP SP-2 RC10
Work continues slowly. I didn't want a big gaping hole around the rear shock tower so I took of the red tape 1/2" tape and cut some masking tape down to 3/8" to use as a template to scribe a cut mark with an exacto blade.
I then used a dremel to round out the top.
Onto the front. I want the body to fit all the contours so I used some cardboard and an old body to make another cut template for the front.
Before I make this final cut, I need to disassemble the front end to see if this is where it really needs to be cut at.

Was able to finish trimming the body
Now onto a wing. I originally had a thorp aluminum one but I'm leaning toward a Tecnacraft wing I've been saving for a while.

This is a beauty and a Tecnacraft wing will put the finishing touch on it! Awesome.

Nice work! Love seeing the process involved with production of a Shodog beauty! So many of them have appeared magically, like out of thin air.

Beautiful work! I like the new choice for the body as well! Those wing stand offs look really cool too and almost give the shocks that double reservoir look.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I did get the Tecnacraft wing finished. I cut the sides from some thin carbon fiber and then covered the wing with Fosr tape. I also put the MIP front shock bodies on

Everything looks tasteful but I especially like how the drip flames tie the gold annodized parts in with the body.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Thanks for noticing. The drips in the paint are similar in shape to the teardrops in the design of the wheel.TRX-1-3 wrote:Everything looks tasteful but I especially like how the drip flames tie the gold annodized parts in with the body.
