T4 setup help needed

Post by StangRey »

Hello everyone. I recently have gone back to indoor off-road racing this winter after a 7-8 year absence. I'm currently running a 4 wheel drive buggy but I took my old trusty T4 off the shelf and want to put it back in action. My questions are :
Last time a raced this truck we ran nickel metal cells, now it's going to be a lipo. Should I add the weight under the lipo? How much more weight should I add and where?
Does anyone have a setup I could start with. I am racing at Leisure Hours raceway in Joliet IL.
Thank you

Standard T4 set up would be fine with LiPo, if you wanted try the T4.1 set up as it's the same truck just set up for lipo.

I wouldn't worry about adding weight.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !

HOWEVER, I added a bunch of weight to my T5M, and it handled better. I tend to drive heavy vehicles better than light ones. They're too twitchy for me. Sooo, if your RC10T is being twitchy, then it may be a good idea.
