Thanks! I'm trying to find decent original vintage parts for it as a side hobby. I have a JConcepts Detonator body that I would like to paint in Cliff Lett's Moo theme. I'd really like to pick up a few more Turbo Mirage bodies just to paint in vintage themes just for show. I could go on and on...
So I finally learned how to trim out a wing the right way. I need to go over it with some scotch-brite to give it that dull (non-see-through) appearance. I also opted for the long whip antenna for a more vintage look.

Looks great! Very nice to see finished projects...I'll get there eventually.
Thanks man. No doubt you will. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this board, and they've got some great advice and building tips to share. I had my roadblocks with my build as well. Getting through them, and learning along the way is what makes it satisfying.

Very clean build. Have a chance to get it dirty yet?
Not yet man. I had to wait until my vacation days at work were re-newed this January. Now that I have a few paid weeks off, the track I wanted to take it to just went from clay to carpet. There is another track a county over that is a fairly new indoor clay track, so I'm planning on heading over there to check it out. Thanks for the compliment.

Nice job with this build. We don't mind seeing action shots on carpet, bring'em on.
Thanks vintage AE. I start a new job on Monday, which is an advancement from my old job. It's on a 10-4 schedule with optional Fridays, so I will have more time for RC. Can't wait to settle in, so I can get to the track.
I had the day off today, so I had time to take the World's car for a spin and take video of it. This is just out on the street in front of my house, but nonetheless it shows the speed of the Hobbywing XR10 17.5T combo, and the agile handling characteristics of the buggy.
The video was taken on my cell phone, so not the best quality.

Did you ever do ceramic bearings? What brand and how do you like them?
Sorry I haven't tried them. I have researched ceramic vs steel bearings, and I came up with that the majority who use them say that the minimal gains are not worth the extra cost.
Ok, I preparation for my World's build up, these are the questions that I have come up with:
1. What color are the rear axle/bearing hubs? White or black? The manual shows the car with white, but a pic of the parts in black.
2. What color are the...

Got the rear wheels today qc, Thank you sir! Just need hoopty's Krylon or some white bell cranks.
Like everybody else I'm building a WOIN Worlds car. To my knowledge everything is original. I've seen posts about the Klein arms, RPM Worlds arms, and CE arms. My question is, is the AE worlds arms the same lenght as the RPM Worlds/Klien Arms, or...

the b4 and b44 universals aren't that much different. If you are using the wheel spacers and b44 universals, you should be very close to where you need to be with b4 wheels. With b4 universals and b4 wheels, you should be as wide as a b4 +- a mm or...
OK ... I have two RC10 Worlds Cars. One is a restored all black car, and one is an in progress white and black car. This brings me to a few questions:
1) What was the point of the milled sections in the chassis?
2) Was the Worlds chassis really...

Well. I can tell you why the chassis were milled. One -was weight. Two -was to provide a channel under the batteries for the speedo wire. Three -was to provide a channel for dirt that collected in the car to find its way out via the holes. This was...
Well......I picked up a 'mostly' worlds car from ebay recently, kind of jumped the gun on the bidding, threw a hail mary bid, and actually won. I got the car but it's pretty beat. Looks like it was a solidly raced car. Kind of glad I just barely...

yep, they are not too bad, just worn from slapping the ground in the front and back. Those parts will be re-dyed black and used to replace parts I scavenge from some other cars I have.
My plan is to convert it to about 90% real black worlds car. I...
Finally got around to it, as I just couldn't pass on one at $199 shipped from AE.
Decided to leave the chassis stock for now, see how it does. Opted for one of Atomik Racing's HD1207TG servos, as I've found this product line to be excellent...
