Re: XLS re-release build.
Electronics to fit next, here's whats going in...
A Hobbywing Quicrun 120A sensored esc, SpeedPassion 8.5 motor (hope I have better luck with this SP motor than I did with the last), Savox 1251MG low profile servo (I have one of these in my TC5), Futaba 2ch. 2.4ghz receiver (I have these in all my cars) and a CORE RC shorty lipo ( which doesn't fit )

Re: XLS re-release build.
The car looks great and those are some really good choices for electronics. I have the same ESC but for the motor I'm going to try a Trackstar 10.5. I just need to set other projects aside and finish it.

Re: XLS re-release build.
Been busy over the weekend getting this rapped up. There's a lot less space for the electronics than first appears as the posts for lipo straps are in the way of the esc so I had to tuck it under the upper deck between the posts. This then took up the space for the receiver but the the low profile servo made a some space for that.

Re: XLS re-release build.
Painted up the body with Tamiya rattle cans. I'm no painter and the first time painting stripes, not so easy with the wide spray pattern from the can and a few mistakes here and there.
BITD a club member painted the body for my old car, I just told him white with yellow & blue stripes and left the design up to him. I chose white, yellow & blue as they were the colours of the Williams F1 team at the time
I used Tamiya PS1, PS4 & PS6. I guess the the only thing left is to take it out and run it when I have some time.

Looks good, lots of boxarts and variants out there now (including mine), so it's nice to see something different.

Re: XLS re-release build.
I agree, it looks great Winner. The paint scheme really takes me back. Well done!!
Actually, now that think about it, I used to have a golf shirt with those stripes. Little did I know at the time, I was sporting Williams F1 colors.
