man, i butchered my tub with holes everywhere, so its a great mule for more experimenting, but you get what im seeing in scr8p's build, that lil block he has bolted to the motor plate could tie into that rear battery post, and i would imagine take a majority of the flex out without needing the waterfall, just a bit taller, with two screws to counter the flexjwscab wrote: ↑Sun Dec 23, 2018 3:27 pm If you look at my e-gt buggy conversion, the waterfall brace I made ties into the factory motor mount holes in the chassis. I could have left some kind feature for a hook-like battery strap in the waterfall but you know how hindsight goes. I preferred to have the battery on the right side anyway. It took me a while to figure out the least amount of drilling in the chassis. In my build I also have a lower brace that screws up into the trans where the brake bracket/motor mount went.

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
Yeah I think something neat could be made to tie it all in there I think at least one hole needs to be drilled for that lower bracket.

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
when i redo mine, im thinking im gonna go for rectangle stock the width of the chassis from the motor plate, cut at the same angle as the left upright of the tub, and drill through the side of the tub for some hardware, following the angle and tap the bracket... might as well add more speed holes !!! doing that way, you can just tap the rectangle stock for a post to do the battery holder

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
Beautifully done!
I’ve had probably a dozen RC cars over the years but my RC10GT is my all time favorite.
I’m beginning a restore of mine and having the hardest time finding a body.
Other than extending the front mounts and mounting the rear mount in front of the shock tower, was there anything else you had to do to get the JC Hi-Flow T5m body to fit?
Thanks!

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
The nose plate needs to be cut down where the bumper mounts. I planned on doing anyway so it didn't bother me.

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
I wonder how much it's going to be.....
Does it fit both tub chassis and blue pan GT's?

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
Anybody have a link to pre order on the JConcpts website? I look there and even did a product search and came up empty. What is the pre-order option for me as I am not on FB.

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
Already tried that trying to purchase a JConcepts banner for my backyard grass track oval. Never got an answer. Not going to waste my time trying that again. But thanks for extending the option anyway. Regards.

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
O.K., bit the bullet and fired off an Email. Got a quick reply from Rich M. stating that they were sold out of the first run, but my name is on a bump list should anyone beg off. That and they are considering a second run. So, cheers and good news. Can't ask for anymore than that.
By the way, dedicated my backyard grass track oval today in anticipation of a season of running my RC10GTe conversions black tub and blue plate, along with my RC10T3.

Re: RC10GT Rebuilds
Maybe this could be the reason there is a shortage of (good) cheap RC10GT's at the moment
